Last year when my photography got a little more serious, my friend Kitt bravely asked me to photograph her wedding which was due to be in the September of this year (2015). She clearly saw something that she loved about my work I constantly posted on Facebook (Kitt, you should be a Picture Editor) and trusted me to do a good job., even though there wasn't a wedding image in sight! Commissioning a photographer, you sometimes have to see beyond what's in their folio and think 'outside the box' because the style that person has will still translate well into what you feel they'd be good at, especially if you feel drawn to their personality. Anyway, the wedding was brought forward to February 2015 towards the end of last year so i had to pull my socks up and get on with it! My boyfriend Freddie was a brilliant assistant, carting my stuff around and uploading images as the day went on. I completely lost track of time as I found myself really understanding what it is to truly be in the moment. As the day was unfolding, I knew I had some really lovely images. Unfortunately, the day was a complete wash out and we couldn't venture outside to make use of the wonderful grounds of Lympne Castle but I'd thought of a plan B and as we all cosied up inside, we were still provided with some beautiful natural light. I'm really thrilled with the images, and so is Kitt.
